Thinking Outside the Snowglobe: Tips for Producing your Firm’s Holiday Cards

by Brandie Knox on October 13, 2011

1. Collaborate with your design team to make your card unique.
There are a lot of snow globes and cardinals perched in trees out there. These ideas lack creativity and fail to differentiate your firm. Your audience is overwhelmed with cards during the holiday season. Yours must prove memorable and resonate with your audience.

2. Give humor a chance.
Most firms shy away from humor, but it can work quite well and remain tasteful if executed properly.

3. Take the time to design your email, too.
Remember, this is your delivery method, and if the email isn’t appealing and well-done, your recipient probably won’t bother to click on the e-card link. A well-formatted, aesthetically pleasing and well-written email encourages them to keep going.

4. Consider using an email campaign service.
This marketing opportunity is often missed. The ability to track opens and delivery allows you to see how successful your campaign was and make improvements going forward.
