Luncheon: How to Build and Promote Effective Women’s Programs
Thursday June 19

Many law firms struggle to provide an environment where women can rise to the top. While virtually every law firm has a group dedicated to the professional development of women, few make an impact on the number of female leaders developed among the ranks. This panel will discuss current women’s initiatives at top law firms, citing specific examples of successful initiatives and exploring new concepts. The program will also discuss trends for women in law and what firms can do to develop new opportunities for women.  Registration will open in late May.

Law firms will have to continue to adapt in some very meaningful ways if the next few years continue resemble the first years of this decade. But precedent suggests that change is often the one thing lawyers do worst. Gerry Riskin of Edge International, a successful legal rainmaker and former managing partner, will describe the steps for legal marketers to build the case for
change in their respective organizations and to take the lead in driving their firms’ transformations.  Registration will open in late June.
