Chapter Events: BDI Social Media Marketing Summit for Law Firms (June 10, 2014)

The buzz of social media attracted approximately 175 law firm professionals to fill the auditorium of The Graduate Center of The City University of NY to hear colleagues share case studies, best practices and examples of how law firms are using social media and content marketing to produce client leads, expand existing client relationships and share knowledge.

Speakers, including two of NYLMA’s own, Kelly Mackinnon and Michael Mellor, featured industry leaders from in-house teams, the consulting side, and one GC who addressed the buyer-side. Each spoke candidly and, in some instances, shared specific examples of how they use technology and social media to market their firms. A large on-stage projector showed the constant #bdi1 Twitter feed.

The event resonated with all attendees, creating a lot of after-buzz, leaving us with some great take-aways and examples, not to mention excited about our roles in helping our clients, whether internal or external, get started or continue on the social media path.
