President’s Message: Spring 2015

Apple, Seth 2014

As we near the end of Q2 and the long awaited summer months, let’s pause to evaluate our 2015 marketing initiatives, accomplishments and failures. The summer provides a great opportunity to personally recharge and professionally recalibrate as work flow typically tapers off a bit.

Whether you’ve had a few false starts, missed a few opportunities or just have “initiative fatigue,” this is the time to make adjustments. Now is also a great time to attack those internal, right lane (or in some instances curbside) projects that have been on the to do list for months.

Not sure where to start? Look to the West.

This year’s national conference in San Diego, California, the largest in the LMA’s 30 year history, was filled with tips, techniques and strategies across myriad industry topics – many of which provide the perfect kindling for those smoldering initiatives you, your company or your firm had lined up for the year.

If you missed the conference, or need a few actionable takeaways to get things going, I encourage you to check out the Spring issue of the NYLMA News for some New York perspectives, and the national website for a broader snapshot.

Of course, in the coming months we will provide continued programming and insight on many timely industry topics, including enhancing international marketing considerations, general counsel perspectives and much, much more.

As always, the LMA and your local Metro New York chapter will provide the starting point, but it’s up to us to find the finish line.

Wishing you all the best.

Seth Apple, Chapter President
