May 18 Luncheon – Women’s Initiatives: Bridging Professional Development and Business Development

by Tom Mariam on May 3, 2016

The Metro New York LMA chapter’s next luncheon meeting will focus on the increasing significance of Women’s Initiative programs and the role of women at law firms of all sizes.

The May 18 luncheon, to be hosted at Cooley LLP, will examine how law firms are promoting professional development for female lawyers and providing them with business development and leadership opportunities.

The shift in law firm demographics, combined with an increasing number of women business owners and female decision-makers at leading companies, is creating an advantage for firms with gender diverse leadership when competing for opportunities with female entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Our panel of four highly experienced women in the legal market will share stories from the trenches on how they achieved management buy-in for the Women’s Initiative at their firms and will discuss how to partner with organizations to best leverage their programs for both professional and business development opportunities.

The panelists will be:

•          Julie Cohen, Marketing Director, Sidley Austin LLP

•          Tracy Fink, Director of the Executive Women’s Forum, CohnReznick

•          Shira Nadich Levin, Partner, Cooley LLP

•          Moderator:  Diane Costigan, Partner SLJ Shannon

The May 18 Women’s Initiative luncheon will run from 12:00-2:00 pm, with the panel starting at 12:30.  Cooley is located in the Grace Building (1114 Ave. of the Americas).

Seating is limited for what will surely be a very popular session.  You may register here.
